Environmental Law
The area of environmental law
is an ever-increasing area of litigation. As scientific knowledge increases,
we find that things done in the past have produced problems in our present
and for our future. Some of the law is still being formed through cases
which are currently being heard in the courts. So, how does one find the
information to prepare a case? Following are some web sites which will give
much needed information for developing an environmental law case.

This web site is a
compilation of 19 pages of recommended web sites for land use and
environmental law. It has a Table of Contents with seventeen topical
subdivisions listed alphabetically to provide easy access. The sources of
information range from statutes to periodicals. It contains state/regional
and federal regulatory web sites. It covers both government and
business/private sites.

The Northern California
Association of Law Libraries web site lists links to other sites which are
California specific as well as federal and international sites. The official
California EPA, California Department of Toxic Substance Control, and the
California Department of Water Resources and be accessed through this site.

The California Environmental
Dialogue - Links of interest web site has topics divided into
Federal/nationwide links, California state links, Sustainable Business web
sites, Miscellaneous links, and Member Organizations. The California
Environmental Dialogue is a membership group, but you do not have to be a
member to access the links.

CERES is the California
Environmental Resources Evaluation System. It lists Environmental
Organization links by organization, geographic area, theme, and data type.
There are CERES specific webs as well as CERES Services.

The United States
Environmental Protection Agency web site gives good general information
about creating environmental law and the application of such laws. It lists
laws enacted by Congress from 1938 through 1990.

Superfund Settlements. This web site gives you links to access information
concerning Superfund Settlements (INSS). To obtain copies of any documents
that are listed, you can obtain INSS Request Forms by clicking on a link.
You can perform a full text search of all INSS files obtained on this web
