President's Message

The Fresno Paralegal Association (FPA) is committed to encouraging and strengthening paralegals and promoting and expanding the paralegal profession in our community. To support paralegals in their profession, FPA provides interesting, diverse, and affordable continuing legal education and networking opportunities.

The year is well underway and FPA is off to a great start. FPA has planned educational events covering ethics, employment law, elimination of bias, civil procedure, discovery, Hippa and many others.

As paralegals we face many challenges. Our days include urgent requests, daunting deadlines, and the necessity to continue to learn and evolve in our profession. When faced with such challenges, I am reminded of these words from Eleanor Roosevelt, “You have to accept whatever comes and the only important thing is that you meet it with courage and with the best that you have to give.”

We may not know what challenges are waiting for us tomorrow, next week, next month, or this year, but these challenges allow us the opportunity to show what we are made of. The next time you find your day morphing into utter chaos, remember to take a deep breath, meet the challenge with courage, and give it the best that you have.

If you have any questions regarding FPA or the paralegal profession, please feel free to reach out to me at info@fresnoparalegal.org.

Sincerely,

President,
Fresno Paralegal Association
