U.S. Supreme Court decision issued June 2, 2008 in Richlin v. Chertoff that paralegal fees may be recovered at prevailing market rate. Read the Court's decision here.

State News
	PARALEGAL DEFINITION and CONTINUING EDUCATION: Effective 1/1/07, B&P 6450(d) requires that every two years, all paralegals are to complete mandatory continuing legal education, consisting of four hours in legal ethics and four hours in either general law or in a specialized area of law.   (Complete text PDF 12 kB)
